It is each of our responsibilities to go deeper than what your eyes see. If I walked into school tomorrow wearing the emo style, I am confident that I would be insulted and what not. But I do know my true friends would see “me”

She’s right, but hating another group that’s different than your own is not new. It’s the same shit that’s been around for ages and ages. Crying about it will not change that fact. I do admire her going on YouTube and expressing how she feels, but if she thinks that her words will change the world then she is sadly mistaken. She should be proud of who she is, be proud of her subculture and just have fun with it. Don’t make it “Emos against the world”, because that’s just stupid. We all need each other, for the good and the bad. It’s what you go through in life that shapes you for the rest of your days. So, Emogirl, if you ever do read this, it will be ok. Children are starving and dying by the thousand in third world countries, children are born with horrible deceases, parents losing their child, or a child losing their parents, this are just a few examples that would make a person depressed. Me, well, i passed throw a very horrific expirience for several year as a child, never knew my parents, and grew up in the street, yet I look at the examples above and i ask myself, ” what do I have to be depressed about” I can walk, see, talk, have food to eat and a roof over my head, and going to college, their really is nothing to be depressed about, and when I am, I embrace it, then I move on, their is to much to live for and no time to stand still.

alright, this is all i have to say:
i dislike emo people, not because of their style or their music or any crap like that. i dislike them because of their attitudes. she was saying that she’s been through a lot of shit in her life, well so have I, quite possibly more than her too, and i’m not emo in the least. i’ll admit there have been times where i would break down and cry, but that’s natural, however, it isn’t natural to cry over every little misfortune. you have to press on, the past is the past, look to the future all that good stuff.
Put simply, I’ve been through as much or more shit as any emo person out there, and i haven’t become more emotional, quite the contrary, i’ve become stronger better able to handle things, anyone can do the same thing i have, emo people just choose not to.
